Intensive checking started at 4 Jaish and Lashkar terrorists, bus stations and railway stations in Delhi.
New Delhi: The National Capital Region (NCR), including the metropolis, has been alerted after intelligence agencies received information about the possibility of a terrorist attack in the city this week in Delhi.
According to the information, a group of terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir may proceed towards the national capital to attack Delhi and its surrounding areas. Sources said security has been beefed up around markets and transport centers in Delhi on Monday. Security has also been increased around all railway stations and bus stands in the city. Terrorist activity has increased in recent times amid the 'Unlock-1' released in Jammu and Kashmir.
The alleged terrorists were arrested this month
On June 11, before the terror strike, the Special Cell arrested three alleged terrorists. The alleged terrorists to be captured were Khwaja Moinuddin (52), Syed Ali Nawaz (32) and Abdul Samad alias Noor (28). All three are from Tamil Nadu. The most vicious among them is Khwaja Moinuddin. The cell's interrogation of these three has revealed that these people were now sent to Delhi to do something 'big'. They had to be targeted. All these foreign handlers used to decide when, what to do. However, another partner of his, Zafar, has been caught by the Gujarat Police. The special cell is bringing him to Delhi on transit remand. Much more is expected to be revealed from him. It is learned that Zafar used to provide them with weapons and other material.
Three have been arrested in their gang of six people. At least three are still absconding. There are two main handlers and two to three people who used to provide them with on demand items. One of them has been caught by the Gujarat Police. At present, the Tamil language is having some problem in interrogating these three alleged terrorists caught by the Special Cell. However, SAIL has made arrangements for Tamil policemen. Khwaja's PFI link has been discovered. SAIL hopes that in the next few days one or two of their associates can be caught. However, SAIL says that so far no input has been received from any terrorist organization other than these to carry out terrorist attack on Delhi. But caution is being taken.
Delhi Police has appealed to the landlords of Delhi to take complete information before giving any house to any tenant at this time. Intensive investigations are being conducted at bus stands and railway stations. Sources in Delhi Police say that these terrorists have entered Delhi-NCR with the intention of carrying out the crime. Sources say that the terrorists have entered Delhi from Jammu and Kashmir by car, taxi or bus. The areas of Outer North district of Delhi have been asked to maintain special attention.
